Digital Theatre Sound Design Workshop
North Carolina School of the Arts is hosting a Digital Theatre Sound Design workshop this summer.  This 3-day continuing education course will teach adult students how to afford the latest digital sound equipment and use it to produce professional-quality sound designs for their organizations.  The first day will focus on producing digital sound content using Pro Tools and Reason; day two, programming digital sound playback with SFX from Stage Research; and day three, sound in theatrical space where students will learn how to give their sound a three-dimensional, dynamic presence in the theatre.

Two sessions will be available: July 12-14 and July 26-28, 2005.  Continuing education credits will be granted.  For more information, contact Jason Romney at 336-770-3215 or romneyj@ncarts.edu, or visit the School's website at http://www.ncarts.edu/ncsaprod/designandproduction/dtsdw.asp

"SFX has changed the way I design - I can now repeatably hear on stage exactly what I hear in my head." - Ryan Poethke

"SFX has made it possible for us to expand the limits of what our shows can
sound like, while at the same time, providing a simple interface for our stage managers.  It's more impressive, and it's easier, too!"  Peter Storms, Circle Theatre of Forest Park, IL

It is a great product - anything that makes my job this much easier is a hit with me."
