“We envision Sound 411 as an opportunity for anyone involved in sound for theatrical and touring productions or film and video to spend some quality time with audio manufacturers,” says Carlton Guc, cofounder of Stage Research, the sponsor of Sound 411.  “The two-day event will introduce a number of new products, provide some basic and advanced hands-on training, and offer a chance to play with some pretty cool equipment.”

Each day alternates mini-presentations by the sponsors and participating manufacturers with breaks for attendees to explore the Manufacturers’ Showcase and obtain informal product training.  “Sound professionals will emerge with a greater understanding of these products, and students will be exposed to the tools of the trade in a real one-on-one environment,” Guc reports.
