Stage Research Names Horizon Solutions
as Master Distributor for Canada

Stage Research continues to expand the network of master distributors for its popular line of audio and lighting software by naming Horizon Solutions of London, Ontario as master distributor for Canada.  Horizon Solutions is a one-stop provider for professional audio, theatrical and concert lighting and video system needs.

"Horizon has been a dealer of Stage Research products for some time, and they are now moving to a more active roll as our master distributor for Canada," says Carlton Guc, cofounder of Stage Research.  "We're pleased that Horizon will fill an important role for us north of the border as we expand our drive to appoint master distributors in key markets worldwide."  Earlier, Stage Research named KAVE Theatre Services and Biyao Ltd. Co. as its master distributors for Europe and China, respectively.

"Audio and lighting designers and programmers are expected to do more in less time than ever before.  The Stage Research line of products empowers every designer and programmer to enter into a production fully prepared having been able to design, test and tweak the audio and lighting elements for a show from their own computer," notes Carl Lukings of Horizon Solutions.

"We are excited to enter into this relationship with Stage Research to distribute and further develop its products for theaters and theatrical designers across Canada," he adds.  "We believe the Stage Reseach family of products is the future of design for theater."

Products include:

*SFX - The leading live entertainment playback software application for prerecorded music and sound effects

*SoftPlot - A graphical design tool which enables lighting designers to plot lighting and manage paperwork for all levels of entertainment

*LightFactory - Offering all the features expected from a lighting control board but which can be run on the smallest of laptops, it provides lighting designers with the ability to create exciting, dynamic shows with unprecedented control over the lighting environment

*ShowBuilder - A software application that takes the drudgery out of the administrative side of show design enabling users to manage paperwork, document their sound system, create shop bids, track budgets and payroll, and plan show routes.

*RFGURU - RF Guru, a coordination tool targeted to anyone dealing with wireless microphones.  RF Guru is designed to find the best combination of wireless microphone frequencies to be used at a venue and alleviate intermod (i.e., interference) problems.  It calculates based on existing microphones, area TV stations, user-entered known bad frequencies and even mic data from nearby neighboring venues. .
